I envisioned having a natural birth followed by easy breastfeeding that would make me bond with my child. Unfortunately, things didn’t happen how I expected. I had a very difficult birth followed by a difficult breastfeeding start. I was so drugged up and in so much pain that I couldn’t feed my baby properly. I couldn’t sit for 3 weeks, making it even harder to feed her. We also couldn’t get a good latch from that little mouth. To make things worse, my pediatrician got us to supplement with formula for a month making her latch even worse. My baby got lazy after getting introduced to the bottle.

Jennifer got me to try a few different positions to avoid my physical discomfort and to help her small size. She also helped me get the baby to latch properly. After a couple of weeks, my baby was able to gain more weight than the doctor expected, we got off of the formula and feed only by breast with way less discomfort. By the time she hit 2 months, she grew more than the chart suggested with no help of formula, bottle and no pain.

Thanks to Jennifer, I got to have a loving experience breastfeeding my daughter.
